The One Organizing Essential Your Kitchen Needs

Kitchen space is always a hot commodity, and nowhere is this more apparent than on one’s kitchen countertop. To maximize space, we often cram our cupboards with Crock Pots and olive oils, only to forget what we have lingering inside. These sneaky tactics only discourage us from what we’re supposed to do in the kitchen in the first place: cook! The solution? The Lazy Susan.

What I love most about the Lazy Susan is that she keeps all your vinegars, oils and spices contained in one spot, while allowing for a 360 degree view of everything so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. I keep mine close to the stove for easy access, but you can of course stash them in your kitchen cupboards for less-frequently used items. The point is that these gals keep precious spices and oils from being forgotten (and thus going to waste), and they encourage you to get out there and actually use your kitchen! 

My favorite Lazy Susans hail from Copco, as they have a handy nonskid surface that prevents everything from sliding off as you spin. Plus, they come in a variety of sizes, depending on your cooking needs. While there are many organizational tools that can improve the functionality of a kitchen, sometimes the laziest ones are the handiest.
